About S & C
Payment and course duration
Lessons may be paid monthly (subject to an admin fee) or in 3-month instalments.
Please note that we require a minimum study period of 3 months, and a month's notice is necessary whenever you wish to stop your piano course.
Would you recommend the master or assistant piano instructor for my piano lessons?
If you are an absolute beginner with no prior musical knowledge, starting your piano education with one of our assistant instructors would certainly be more suitable.
However, if you are already a proficient pianist who wishes to improve your skills further, taking piano lessons with our master instructor is recommended.
Do I need to own a piano before starting my piano course?
You do not need to own a piano to start your piano course, as our instructors would be happy to recommend the most suitable instrument for you.
If you are a beginner and fear not having enough space at home to install a grand piano, you can opt for a digital instrument. Both are available for rent or purchase.
There are a few excellent piano studios in Dubai that you are also welcome to hire for your personal practice.
Our Fees:
The monthly amount starts from only 850 AED per month and varies depending on the length of your lessons and the instructor you are studying with. Lessons may be paid monthly (subject to an admin fee) or per 3 months in advance. We require a minimum study period of 3 months and a month's notice in case you wish to stop your course.
Should I take one-to-one piano lessons or study in a group format?
Our group piano lessons are only suitable for beginners, so we would definitely recommend one-to-one piano lessons to intermediate and advanced pianists.
However, both are suitable for beginners. It all depends on your personal preference.
If you are unsure, you are welcome to contact us at enrol@sandc.ae.
Do I need to practice?
Yes. We would love to say ‘no’ but it is unfortunately impossible to make any progress without practising daily.
As a beginner, you should plan to dedicate at least 15 to 30 minutes daily to your personal practice, as it is an essential part of piano playing.
Would you help me complete my grade exams?
Yes, definitely.
At S & C, sitting for the grade examinations is voluntary, but we will assist you with the utmost pleasure if it is your wish.
Do I need any talent to sign up?
You do not need to have any special talent to enrol at S & C and to enjoy playing the piano immensely.
We believe that everybody can play the piano, and we have never come across a pupil who was unable to do so.
If you wish to play the piano, do not listen to the negative myths and cliches that are sadly responsible for many people not starting to make their dream a reality.
I have awful memories of my piano lessons when I was young. Will my instructor be harsh with me?
We can assure you that our wonderful piano instructors are extremely patient and friendly. They will always teach you in a manner that is easy to understand and guide you at your own pace.
At S & C, all our piano lessons take place in a cordial and non-judgmental environment, so you have nothing to fear if you study the piano with us.
Do I need to read music before starting my piano lessons?
No. You do not need to know how to read music before starting your piano course at S & C.
We cater for absolute beginners with no prior musical knowledge, and learning music notation is included in your piano course.
Also, do not worry about it, as you will soon realise that it is much easier than you probably think!
