Teaching adult amateur pianists, future professional pianists or young children are three different specialities that we understand, and we are proud to say that we excel in adult piano instruction.
An excellent piano education and a relaxed atmosphere are keys to your success; S & C strives for excellence and continually maintain its exceptionally high standard.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_separator border_width=”2″][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”5136″ img_size=”full”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]
The creation of S & C has a long history. It all started in London in 2006.
I was already teaching privately, both adults and children, for many years when I realised that very little was done for adults who wish to learn how to play the piano. I knew that piano enthusiasts were looking for a platform where they could express themselves, as my parents are both amateur musicians, and I have therefore been surrounded by non-professional musicians since my childhood.
As I grew up in France, I was also aware of the fantastic international piano competition for amateur pianists which takes place in Paris each year. Men and women, busy with a highly demanding professional career, travel from all over the world to participate in this extraordinary competition and perform in front of examiners and a supportive audience. The atmosphere is incredibly friendly, and it is a superb opportunity for amateur pianists to meet like-minded piano lovers.
After only one year spent in London and passionate by adult piano education, I decided to undertake adults only. It was an instant success which led me to found the first piano academy for adults in London.
As The London Piano Institute is now the larger academy dedicated to adult piano instruction in the United Kingdom, there was no reason why piano enthusiasts who live in Dubai could not benefit from the same privilege![/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_separator border_width=”2″][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”5139″ img_size=”full”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]
Adults are actually much better equipped than children to learn how to play the piano
If we analyse the situation, we will quickly realise that there is no reason to be defeated. Adults are actually much better equipped than children when it comes to piano playing.
Firstly, adults have developed higher intellectual capacities that allow them to understand the logic found in piano playing and the reason behind practice and repetition.
Secondly, they benefit from larger hands and stronger muscles that give them the opportunity to reach the keys easily and produce the necessary sound when a section of a piano piece must be played louder.
Thirdly, adults have a much better understanding of emotions which is a crucial factor in piano playing.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_separator border_width=”2″][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”5142″ img_size=”full”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]
Start playing the piano as an adult
Throughout my life, I have met many adults who regret not to have ever learned how to play the piano or who have sadly given up after playing for a few years in their childhood.
They have either never had the opportunity or were disappointed after taking lessons with an unsuitable piano instructor.
They keep contemplating the idea of playing this beautiful instrument and have this burning desire in their heart but never make it a reality.
It is a real shame to realise that so many men and women live their life with such regret.
It is especially devastating if you know that adults can start learning the piano at any stage.
They definitely have no reason to bury their dream!
The main reason why most adults do not start their piano education is the belief that it is too late and that this skill can only be learned by children.
Fortunately, this thought is a total absurdity!
Adults can learn how to play the piano as much as children do.
There is no age limit to start and enjoy tickling the ivory keys![/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_separator border_width=”2″][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”5144″ img_size=”full”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]
Our piano instructors
As I have previously mentioned, we strictly work with piano instructors who have a perfect understanding of adult piano education.
They are all highly qualified and experienced and are all concert pianists themselves.
The twist is that they will understand you fully and will never expect your performances to be equal to theirs.
They will, on the contrary, teach you all the correct techniques from day one and pass their incredible understanding of music on to you while respecting the fact that you are playing the piano for your pleasure and enjoyment.
They are also all so patient and welcoming that you will never feel under pressure.
They are aware that you have a busy personal and professional life and they will adjust the amount of homework and expectations accordingly.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_separator border_width=”2″][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”5137″ img_size=”full”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]
Imagine how happy you will feel when you will be able to play simple but exquisite piano pieces that you love!
Playing the piano will surely add a tremendous amount of joy into your life!
At S & C, our piano pupils often share their feelings about piano playing, and most of them say that it is an activity equal to none which gives them the opportunity to get away from their daily obligations.
Playing the piano is magical and is undoubtedly a fantastic way to get introduced to the wonderful world of music.
If you have always wanted to play the piano, you should not hesitate to begin your musical journey.
You should not get delayed by potential false ideas, such as “I might not be talented” or “I am not musical”.
You do not need to have a ‘special talent’ to start playing the piano and enjoying yourself tremendously.
At first, you will learn how to read music notes and understand how timing works. This basic knowledge that you will acquire fairly quickly will allow you to play simple but beautiful melodies after only a few weeks of learning.
It is normal to be anxious prior to starting a new activity that is entirely foreign to you, but I can assure you that there is nothing to worry about and that the first steps are much easier than you could possibly think.
Imagine how happy you will feel if you can conquer your fears and make your dream become true!
Imagine how happy you will feel when you will finally understand your favourite pieces of music!
Imagine how happy you will feel when you will have a new “friend” with which you can share your deepest emotions![/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_separator border_width=”2″][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”5047″ img_size=”full”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]
